Seven practical tools for emotional resilience and a dose of creative freedom help our youth transform their lives from the inside out.
Mindfulness for youth that works.
CURRENT PROGRAMS
Fundamental Life Tools for Foster Youth
Our flagship curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of youth navigating the foster system. What makes this program exceptional is peer facilitation - students learn skills and practices from peers with a shared background, who serve as living proof that these tools really work.
After School Program @ resin
Our weekly after-school program combines 30 minutes of the Fundamental Life Tools - or jedi-mind training as it’s related to our students - with an hour of Creative Freedom time at our 3,000 square foot studio in Hermosa Beach. Through 6 years of this program we have never turned a student away - making this unique expression of youth mindfulness available to our entire community.
Programs for Teens Seeking Mental Wellness @ allcove Beach Cities
In partnership with allcove Beach Cities, we provide creativity and mindfulness programs to youth ages 12-25 seeking clinical mental wellness support.
Ocean Therapy with the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation
In partnership with JMMF, students get an integrated day of Ocean & Surf Therapy, mental wellness tools, and creating art. The intention of this program is to give youth a memorable experience that connects them to their nature.
Fundamental Life Tools for the At-Promise Youth of Richstone Family Center
Before the pandemic, we invited a group of youth from Richstone Family Center to our studio weekly for Fundamental Life Tools sessions. These sessions gave at-promise youth the agency to decide on their own projects, in a studio where almost anything is possible. We’re fundraising to resume this program in Q3 2026.
The Stream of Consciousness
Our Teen Mental Wellness Platform developed in collaboration with a group of teen volunteers. This initiative reimagines mindful awareness in a way that feels authentic to Gen Alpha and Gen Z, and is currently brainstorming content ideas that will extend the reach of the Fundamental Life Tools.
