Musical Chopin Meditation featuring Michel Pascal and Maryna KYSla
Indulge in an enchanting evening of Chopin's masterpieces by Maryna Kysla and Michel Pascal, aka ‘Medicine Voice’. Michel sings at Carnegie Hall annually, and is an innovator in the music x mental health space. Maryna is a Ukrainian refugee and a virtuoso pianist. This will be a musical meditation, which concertgoers have described as “a divine peace”, and “a pure grace”.

Lineage(s) is a curated group showcase of collaborations between people who consider each other family... CEREMONY: NEW MOON & SOLSTICE
New moon + solstice sacred ceremony – teachings of the medicine wheel will be led by Jim Berenholtz, special guest and ceremonial artist visiting from Sedona.
Jim will guide the group on a ritual journey to explore:
the powers of the four directions to understand how they correlate with the four elements, the four qualities of human existence, and the four seasons
a deep awareness of how time and space intersect
specific and practical knowledge of sacred plant energy medicines (sage, cedar, tobacco, and copal, among others)

A practical guide to the ancient art and science of Classical Compass Feng Shui to balance and move energy in the home or office, led by Lori Tierney (Interior Designer & Feng Shui Pracititioner). Explore:

covefest: Opening of the ‘allcove’ Teen Center at Beach Cities Health District
covefest will be the official public opening of allcove Beach Cities to the community. This is a community event for young people and their families to learn about and engage with the center. There will be fun things to do and be part of, like Live Music, painting a community mural, corn hole, jewelry-making, mindfulness activities, and more.

YOGANANDANCE: SPIRITUAL MUSICAL BY MICHEL PASCAL, FEATURING LAMA TASHI NORBU, SHRI HEMANT EKBOTE, AND MYRON MCKINLEY OF EARTH, WIND AND FIRE
Internationally acclaimed spiritual and meditation teacher, composer and singer Michel Pascal has announced that his brand-new show, Yoganandance – A Musical to Celebrate Yogananda, the pioneering Indian spiritual guru Paramahansa Yogananda, will premiere on Nov. 17, 2022, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
Yoganandance is a full-evening experience: There will be a pre-show Sound Bath Orchestra directed by Erika Segura beginning at 7:45pm. After an opening blessing by Sujon Datta (the grandnephew of Yogananda) and meditations led by Michael Beckwith (Agape International), Yogi Cameron, Yogini Jaima and Venerable Lama Tashi Norbu from Tibet, the musical celebration begins. Temple Hayes will narrate while Pascal performs lead vocals. The all-star band features musical director Myron McKinley (Earth, Wind & Fire) on keyboards, Paul Pesco (Madonna, Hall and Oates) on guitar and electric sitar, Shri Hemant Ekbote on tabla, and the rhythm section is comprised of drummer Stacey Lamont Sydnor and bassist Ian Martin. Sister Jenna will lead a closing meditation.
“It’s an incredible band of world-class players,” says Pascal. “They are truly exceptional on every level. And we have an amazing choreographer and dancer, Sonya Om, who is brilliant.”

Join Lama Tashi from 4-6 pm for the commencement of a Sand Mandala. The Sand Mandala will be constructed from October 22nd to the 29th and will be concluded by the deconstruction of the Mandala. The construction of a sand mandala is symbolic of our interconnectedness through many lifetimes - and the deconstruction is symbolic of letting go of our attachments.
